Backcountry skiing and splitboarding, are popular private guiding activities that I have years of experience planning.
I offer guided backcountry tours to a variety of areas in Hokkaido.
And will allow the weather to decide where we will go on the day of your trip.

Excellent powder skiing area isn’t just Niseko. Hokkaido has a lot of others areas (e.g. Shiretoko, Yuubari, Horokanai, Northern Hokkaido).
I offer various types of customized private tours exclusively for you.

All tours begin with your guide picking you up directly from your accommodation in one of our comfortable 4WD drive vehicles between 8 AM and 8.30 AM. You will be contacted the evening before your scheduled trip about an exact pick up time.
Depending on your equipment we will get the required rental gear for you or head straight to the trailhead.
At the end of your successful powder day your guide will take you back to your accommodation.
Booking Info
I’ll supply you with a quote that will include all expenses such as rental gear when I know your requirements. Registration requires a deposit of 20% of the quote or, for trips of three days or less, full payment.
I ask that you familiarize yourself with Guide Office Pika’s detailed booking information.
Risk is an inherent part of all mountain activities. I strive to manage and reduce it however, it is impossible to totally eliminate. Learn more about our safety and risk management approach here. Please note that you will be required to sign our waiver before commencing the program.
The balance of payment is required eight weeks before trip commencement. Should you cancel more than eight weeks in advance of the trip, a 12000yen cancellation fee will apply. Cancellation between six and eight weeks before trip commencement will mean a loss of your deposit. Cancellation less than six weeks before trip commencement will result in a loss of all payments made.
Guide’s Expenses
Your quote will contain reasonable and modest guide expenses during your program. These include driving costs (unless you drive the guide), accommodation and meals (does not apply to day tours), etc.
Before booking your private program we will give you a final quote as to cost.
