The Spirit Behind “Pika”

In Japan, pikas can be found only in a limited alpine region of Hokkaido. These tiny creatures are believed to be survivors of the Ice Age—living quietly and resiliently in the harshest of environments.
When we stand before the grandeur of Mother Nature, we are just as small and vulnerable as the pika. Nature’s power is immense. At times, it moves us with breathtaking beauty—and at others, it reminds us of its raw, unforgiving force.
Inspired by the humble pika—also known as the “naki rabbit”—which has mastered the art of survival in Hokkaido’s wild landscape, we are committed to offering safe, reliable, and heartfelt guiding services.
As guides, we believe our role is not just to lead, but to amplify the wonder and richness of Hokkaido’s nature.
Our mission is to make your mountain journey not just safe—but unforgettable.

I received intensive training in advanced technical mountaineering, backcountry skiing, alpine climbing, avalanche safety, and wilderness first aid at one of Canada’s top mountaineering schools.
After completing the program, I worked as a hiking guide in the majestic Canadian Rockies, gaining hands-on experience in some of the world’s most rugged and beautiful terrain.
Now based in Hokkaido, I specialize in guiding clients through the region’s diverse seasons—with a deep-rooted passion for the mountains and the stories they tell.
To me, the role of a mountain guide goes beyond safety and logistics—it’s about deepening your connection to the landscape and sharing the awe that nature inspires.
Whether it’s your first mountain adventure or one of many, I’m here to ensure it’s a memorable and meaningful journey.
